We have been looking for a good way to get in shape from the comfort of our own home. I have been looking into Power 90 and already wrote a brief blurb about it here in the fitness section, but its a serious program and involves a lot of commitment. In the meantime we are looking at easier programs that can be mastered and completed faster than 90 days.
Monica is excited to try this new program we just barely saw on a TV infomercial today Core Rhythms, its a Latin dance inspired workout. The creators are two husband and wife teams that are latin dance champions.
Have you ever noticed how professional dancers have the best bodies?
The workouts are led by Jaana Kunitz 10 Times International Latin Champion, and Julia Powers 12 Times US Rhythm Champion. They are two very athletic, energetic, and attractive women that lead the core strenghtening workout. The program has an on screen beat meter for people that are not good at keeping pace to a rhythm, and have a feature to see the front or back view of a workout as it is in progress, also a help section with mini tutorial on how to do the basic moves. Apparently the free bonus is a learn the basics of Latin Dance, to implement your newly acquired skills on the dance floor.
We will let you know how it goes when the program arrives to our home.
Our little dancer, Isabel (we call her Peanut) was already dancing to the commerical and throwing her hands up in the air and shaking her booty, she was having a good time. I think this will be a good at home workout for mother and daughter to have fun and spend some time together.
